I hereby make application for membership in the credit union named above, and agree, to conform to its bylaws and amendments thereof, copies of which have been made available to me, and to subscribe for at least one (1) share, If life savings, insurance is carried in connection with my account, I agree on behalf or myself, my heirs, and my assigns, inconsideration of the credit union carrying such insurance, that no change of the beneficiary designated above shall be binding upon the credit union unless I have filed with the credit union prior to my death a written change of beneficiary form signed by me on the form supplied by the credit union; and, in the absence of filing such change of beneficiary, form I agree on behalf of myself, my heirs, assigns, or any other persons claiming through me to indemnify and save harmless the credit union from any and all loss or damage by reason of the payment of the proceeds of such insurance to such person as the credit union records show to be entitled thereto. The credit union does not agree that life savings insurance will be provided in the future. The undersigned agrees that life savings insurance maybe cancelled at any time by the credit union at the sole discretion of the credit union.

The COUNCILL FEDERAL CREDIT UNION is hereby authorized to recognize any of the signatures subscribed hereto in the payment of funds or the transaction of any business for this account. The joint owners of this account, hereby agree with each other and with said Credit Union that all sums now paid in on shares, or heretofore or hereafter paid in on shares by any or all or the said joint owners to their credit as such joint owners with all accumulations thereon, are and shall be owned by them jointly, with right or survivorship and be subject to withdrawal or receipt of any of them, and payment to any of them or the survivor or survivors shall be valid and discharge said Credit Union from any liability for such payment.

Any of all said joint owners may pledge all or any part of the share in this account as collateral security to a loan or loans. The right or authority of the credit union under this agreement shall not be changed or terminated by said owners, or any of them except by written notice to said credit union which shall not affect transactions theretofore made.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP

Section 1. The field of membership shall be limited to those having the following common bond of association, occupation, or residence: Employees of Alabama A.&M. College and of the Negro public schools who work in Madison County, Alabama; employees of the credit union; members and their immediate families; and the organizations of such persons.

Section 2. Each application for membership must be in writing and must be presented to the board of directors for action at a regular or special meeting thereof.

Section 3. An applicant shall not be admitted to membership except by the affirmative vote of a majority of the directors present at the meeting, at which the application is acted upon; and shall not become a member or entitled to any of the rights or privileges of a member until he shall have qualified by paying an entrance fee of 25 cents and shall have subscribed for at least one share of this credit union and paid at least the first installment thereon, as required in Section 1 of article 111 of these bylaws.

Section 4. A member who withdraws all his shareholdings thereby ceases to be a member.

Section 5. Subject to the conditions herein contained, a member who leaves the field of membership of this credit union may retain his membership therein but may not borrow therefrom in excess of his share holdings,
